Introduction to Bookbinding with Robert Walp. #906-0717.
Come discover an ancient art form that will give you a greater appreciation for how books were made long ago. In this class you will learn the basic skills needed to make bindings for albums, journals or other book-arts projects. Moving from simple to complex bookbindings, you will create several books that will help you develop skills in tearing, folding, sewing, and gluing both paper and hardcover bindings. Emphasis will be on good craft techniques and working in harmony with materials and their different properties. A fun class for both men and women.
