Expanded event connects people with Autism and intellectual or developmental disabilities with resources and activities
Saratoga Springs, NY – The Arc Lexington, in collaboration with Saratoga Bridges, is proud to host the expanded Annual Autism Expo, now featuring the Life After High School Resource Fair. This hallmark event will provide families, caregivers and individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD) with a comprehensive array of resources and support.
In alignment with National Autism Acceptance Month, the fair is designed to empower families, caregivers, and individuals, enhancing the support network within New York State's Capital/Northern Region. The Expo is scheduled for April 14, from 12-3 p.m. at the Saratoga City Center in Saratoga Springs.
“This Autism Acceptance Month, we are privileged to support families with the resources and opportunities they need for a bright future,” said Shaloni Winston, CEO of The Arc Lexington. “Our event is a celebration of the amazing abilities and potential of individuals with ASD and I/DD, and our unwavering commitment to their success. With sessions designed to support and plan for our neurodiverse community, alongside activities for children and families, the Expo serves everyone in a truly meaningful way.”
Jane Mastaitis, CEO of Saratoga Bridges, adds, "The Expo is more than an event; it's a testament to the strengths and future possibilities of those with ASD and I/DD. We are committed to shining a light on these talents and fostering a future filled with opportunity and achievement. Together, we’re building a community that values and nurtures every individual’s unique contributions.”
Tara Anne Pleat, Esq., from presenting sponsor Wilcenski Pleat Law, states, “Our firm's deep commitment to the special needs community is personal and professional. Understanding the critical importance of resources like the Autism Expo, it has been a privilege to support this event from its inception. Witnessing its growth and the profound impact it has on families reinforces that the Autism Expo is more than an event; it’s a vital community lifeline, offering crucial resources, knowledge and networks.”
