Leadership Saratoga seeking project ideas to benefit community

Program accepting project proposals through Aug. 7
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The award-winning Leadership Saratoga program is seeking project ideas for the Class of 2026-2027.
Sponsored by the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce, the program is dedicated to the development of leaders who will serve their communities today and in the future.
Nonprofits serving Saratoga County are encouraged to submit a project proposal detailing their organization’s needs. Applicants are advised to think big and be creative in their proposals.
In past years, Leadership Saratoga groups have successfully completed projects such as marketing assessments, community engagement outreach, event planning, educational programming, awareness campaigns and website redesigns. Ideal projects will require approximately 150 hours of volunteer time to complete and cannot include fundraising.
Proposals are reviewed by a subcommittee of the Leadership Saratoga Advisory Board, which selects up to four projects for groups within the incoming class to complete as part of the months-long program.
Each year, up to four projects are selected. The volunteer projects provide hands-on experience using some of the skills they learn in the program, while also giving them an opportunity to lend their knowledge and expertise to a local impact sector organization.
The Leadership Saratoga Project Proposals form is available at www.leadershipsaratoga.org/apply-program/projcts-proposal-application-submission/.
Project proposal applications should be submitted to Leadership Saratoga by Friday, Aug. 7.
Organizations will be notified in early September of the outcome of their submission.
The Class of 2025-26 recently completed four projects during its program year, which benefited the Girls Scouts of Northeastern New York, Saratoga Joinery, Saratoga PLAN, and the Veterans and Community Housing Coalition. Information, and videos about these projects, along with a listing of past completed projects, at the Leadership Saratoga website at www.leadershipsaratoga.org/explore-program/previous-projects.
The Class of 2027’s Leadership Saratoga program will run from September 2026 to May 2027.
