Leadership Saratoga helps Children's Museum at Saratoga
Introduction: The Leadership Saratoga Class of 2018 split up into four "teams" at the start of the program, in the Fall of 2017. Each team was assigned a specific nonprofit challenge to tackle and resolve as part of the Leadership Saratoga experience. Below is a snyopsis from the project team that worked with the Children's Museum at Saratoga.
The Children’s Museum at Saratoga—Leadership Saratoga researched and developed new family and corporate membership options to help The Children’s Museum at Saratoga achieve its goal of expanding community engagement and impact.
The team streamlined family memberships and developed a corporate membership program that would encourage local businesses to offer free passes to The Children’s Museum. In addition, Leadership Saratoga assessed the Museum’s website, digital and print marketing materials, and created a marketing plan that aligned with the Museum’s emphasis on the educational value of its exhibits and programming.
The Leadership Saratoga team produced a detailed editorial plan and social media calendar, a highly engaging promotional video, planned and produced a photo shoot, and created a robust library of new photo and video assets.
The group also conducted a training session for employees and volunteers on easy ways to create a social media presence and how to be able to quickly post updates and curate content online thereby helping to ensure that the Museum is able to add to its now sizeable media library in the future.
