Killer Queen performs tribute to Queen at SPAC
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — Classic rock fans were treated to a night of Queen's greatest hits on Sunday at Saratoga Performing Arts Center.
Killer Queen, a tribute to Queen, played the Spa City venue, with special guests Voyage, a Journey tribute act.
Concertgoers enjoyed singing their hearts out to some of their favorite tunes, and both bands featured talented musicians portraying the original rock stars on stage.
In iconic Freddie Mercury fashion, Killer Queen frontman Patrick Myers gave a super energetic performance while constantly encouraging audience participation.
The band played all of Queen's most beloved numbers including "Under Pressure," "Another One Bites The Dust," and "Crazy Little Thing Called Love."
In an encore, the group ended the concert with the much-anticipated "Bohemian Rhapsody," followed by "We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions."
Though summer days are dwindling, SPAC still has a couple of major events on its entertainment calendar. Farm Aid - featuring Willie Nelson and Family, Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews - is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 21, and Post Malone will close out the season on Monday, Sept. 23 with his F-1 Trillion Tour.
