Albany, NY – October 20, 2023 – Broadview and CDPHP, in a joint effort to give back to the community, today collaborated with the Mechanicville-based chapter of the not-for-profit organization Sleep in Heavenly Peace to build 80 beds for children in need. Sleep in Heavenly Peace provides safe and comfortable beds for children who may otherwise sleep on the floor.

Both organizations have been supporting Sleep In Heavenly Peace for many years and they call upon their large employee base to help volunteer with the build. Combined volunteers helped build the 80 beds throughout the day today.

For Broadview, the nonprofit has a special spot for the Credit Union as they honored Sleep In Heavenly Peace Chapter President, Jim Welch back in 2020 for their annual ‘Why I Care’ Award. Now, joining force with CDPHP they can continue to make an even bigger splash and build awareness for “employee bed builds” for other organizations in the Capital Region to participate in.

“Broadview is proud to support Sleep In Heavenly Peace because we fully believe that everyone’s basic needs should be met and children should always have a bed to sleep in.” said Broadview CEO Michael Castellana. “Having a safe, comfortable place for children to lay their heads at night is essential for proper mental and physical growth in our youth. We are happy to play a small part along with our friends at CDPHP, in addressing this problem and helping with the solution.”
