$1.7 million invested in local communities  in 2024 by Berkshire Bank Foundation

BOSTON — Berkshire Bank Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Berkshire Bank, invested more than $1.7 million in local communities across its five-state footprint in 2024, including more than $450,000 from October to December.

For the year, nearly 400 nonprofits benefitted from foundation grants and other giving, which included more than 110 nonprofits in the last three months of 2024. Some of the organizations supported in the fourth quarter included:

·         Homeless and Travelers Aid Society
·         Housing Trust of Rutland County

·         Jonnycake Center Of Westerly
·         Madonna Place
·         Main South Community Development Corp.
·         Regional Food Bank Of Northeast New York
·         Rhode Island Community Food Bank Association
·         Second Street Second Chances
·         Square One
·         The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts
·         The Reading League
·         Urban League Of Greater Hartford
·         Utica Neighborhood Housing Service
·         Westside Legends.
