Jesse Bruchac has been training in martial arts since his youth and began wrestling at 6 with his father, Joe Bruchac (a former Cornell Wrestler), as his first coach. 2003 Jesse co-founded the first Jiu Jitsu school in Western New York, WNYMMA. He received his blue belt from legendary Ricardo De La Riva and founded WNYBJJ Team De La Riva. WNYMMA was highly successful during the years that Jesse managed and taught classes there, producing world champions in Jiu Jitsu and major UFC talent. Like his brother, Jesse is an instructor and has competed extensively in Jiu Jitsu. He ranked from purple-black with Alliance. Jesse has also worked extensively in film as a screenwriter, composer, translator, fight choreographer, and dialog coach, and is the founder and director of the Middlebury School of Abenaki. His passion for language and methodology, along with his systematic approach to teaching, perfectly complements his over 20 years of teaching Jiu Jitsu.
