Sunrise Symposium
For the Adult and Senior Center of Saratoga, 60 means a great deal. In 2015, we will celebrate our 60th Diamond Anniversary with a year-long celebration of history, education and community events, including the Sunrise Symposium at the Saratoga City Center, on October 3rd, 2015 at 8:30 am. This event will immediately precede The Daily Gazette Boomer Expo - an annual event that draws over 1,200 seniors from around the Capital District. The event includes: 8:30-9: Check-in / Continental Breakfast 9:30-10:30: Screening of "Women of '69 Unboxed" documentary: A group of college classmates who were both electrified and pummeled by the turbulent surf of the 60's, look back, then ahead, as they turn 65, ruminate on their heartaches and triumphs and evaluate the "dowry" they will leave for future generations. 10:45-11:30: Engaging Panel Discussion (Telling our Stories with members of the Class of '59, '69, '79) 11:30-12:00: Ray O'Connor: will be discussing and signing copies of his book "She Called Him Raymond" - A True Story Of Love, Loss, Faith and Healing from WWII.
