Enjoy a walking tour of Greenridge Cemetery
On Sunday June 23, 2013 the Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation presents the Sunday Summer Stroll Here Lies Saratoga’s Past: Greenridge Cemetery. Foundation intern Mark Leskovec will navigate the tombs and monuments of Greenridge Cemetery, discussing the historical and architectural background of the American rural cemetery movement while unearthing tales of Saratoga’s most notable residents. Come discover the final resting place of many individuals who made Saratoga Springs home.Tour starts at 10:30am and lasts approximately 90 minutes. Meet on Lincoln Avenue at the Sackett Gate cemetery entrance. Cost is $5 per member/$8 per non-member. Tour will take place rain or shine, and will include walking and standing on varied terrain. Reservations are encouraged, but not necessary.
