Spring Festival
On Saturday, March 25, 9 A.M - 1 P.M., we welcome spring with the 2nd Annual Spring Festival at the Saratoga Farmers' Market, 65 South Broadway in Saratoga Springs. Spring Festival offers 4 FREE workshops and cooking demonstrations during the market. Plus, FREE activities for families and children and special guests with information on gardening, food preparation, and more.
The schedule includes:
9 - 10 A.M. - Using Native Plants in Your Landscape with Susan Schurman O'Donnell of Dutch Girl Garden Design (free beverage from Something's Brewing for all attendees)
10 - 11 A.M. - Food Preservation 101 – An Overview of Canning, Freezing & Dehydrating with Diane Whitten of Cornell Cooperative Extention (free cider and donuts from Malta Ridge Orchard & Gardens for all attendees)
11 A.M. - 12 P.M. - The Ins and Outs of Composting with Michael Cohen of Sustainable Saratoga
12 - 1 P.M. - Live cooking and food sampling with Chef Dan Spitz (free market logo apron for all attendees)
FREE Activities for Children & Families hosted by Sustainable Saratoga and Northeast Parent & Child Society, 9 A.M - 1 P.M.
CCE Saratoga County's food and nutrition educator, Diane Whitten, will offer information on cooking with seasonal produce, healthy eating, and nutrition.
