The goal of the workshop is advancing Saratoga Springs Smart Cities Road Map. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear presentations and ask questions from industry leaders on how to further the plans to design, budget and implement a Smart Cities infrastructure for the city of Saratoga Springs.
Background Data: The main goal of a smart city is to optimize city functions and promote economic growth while also improving the quality of life for citizens by using smart technologies and data analysis. The value lies in how this technology is used rather than simply how much technology is available.
The City of Saratoga Springs entered into a partnership with SiFi Networks to build an open access city-wide fiber optic network called the FiberCity®. Saratoga Springs FiberCity® will enable the city to implement Smart City technologies for generations.
