Regional Folk Legend Dan Berggren to Play Benefit Concert for the Adirondack Folk School
Beloved Folk Musician Dan Berggren will be playing his signature “old school folk music” with Alex Smith at a concert to benefit The Adirondack Folk School at the Saratoga Arts Center on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 7:00 p.m.
The Saratoga Arts Center Is located at 320 Broadway #1 in downtown Saratoga Springs, New York, 12866. A spokesperson from Caffe Lena said that Berggren is “one of the most personable and powerful performers” they have had.
“The Adirondack Folk School is so grateful that Dan has agreed to perform this benefit concert; the proceeds of which will go towards the continued operation of our school, a not for profit organization. Not only is he one of our most popular instructors; he is an exceptionally talented performer” says Rand Condell, President of the Board of Directors of the Adirondack Folk School.
Tickets are $18.00 in advance by calling the Adirondack Folk School at 518-696-2400. Tickets may be purchased for $20.00 at the door on the night of the event, October 14, 2016 though seating is limited so advance purchase is recommended. The Adirondack Folk School seeks to preserve Adirondack arts, crafts and culture through a diverse offering of more than 200 classes each year. The school is known for having one of the best blacksmithing teaching facilities in the country. Classes are also offered on fiber arts, rustic furniture making, canoe building, jewelry, woodworking, basketry, and much more.
