Perfect Pictures Every Time: Intermediate Level with Carl Heilman II. #993-0731.
This experiential intermediate level class will start with a quick review of the basics like digital camera settings, exposure, and histograms. Topics covered in detail will include shooting for HDR, controlling motion, working with and setting up depth of field, composition tips, unique creative options, and lighting, with an overview of post processing. Working with a step by step PowerPoint presentation plus hands on field work helps teach these important aspects of landscape photography. The class is paced to allow plenty of time for questions and interaction, with half the day in the classroom and the other half experimenting with the new techniques in the field. A comprehensive handout will include all major points covered in the presentation. This intermediate class is designed for those who are looking to learn more about their camera and the photography principles that apply to every photo taken. NOTE: Equipment requirements include a DSLR and lens system/OR a full featured point and shoot camera (preferably with screw-on filter and tripod capability), a sturdy tripod, and a remote release. In addition, bring along a full variety of focal length lenses from wide angle to telephoto so you can work with all the techniques that will be covered.
