About the Instructor: Emily Vallee, MFA
Valle is a visual artisit, educator and curator. Her work has recently been exhibited at the Atlantic Wharf Gallery in Boston, MA and the ProNatura Conservation Center in Champ-Pittet, Switzerland. She has taught classes in digital, analog and alternative process photography in Boston, MA and Burlington, VT. Vallee is a new resident of Saratoga Springs and is thrilled to become a part of the arts commuinty. Find her work at www.emilyvallee.com
This class is an introduction to alternative methods of photography. In four, ninety minute workshops, you will be guided through the history of cyanotype, sunprint and anthotype processes. Students will learn to make their own pinhole cameras, to view science in action. They will create unique sunprints to take home as well as learn to make images utilizing only fruits or plants, paper and sunlight.
