Hear From Lieutenant Colonel William T. Johnson, North East Regional Director on the Army Chief of Staff’s Soldier for Life Program.
The Veterans Business Council of the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce, along with sponsor Merrill Lynch, will host a luncheon, featuring Lieutenant Colonel William T. Johnson on Thursday, September 25th at Longfellows. Lieutenant Johnson will address and educate the audience on how big of a role YOU play in servicing our veterans. At this luncheon, you will learn about:
- Soldier for Life connects Army, governmental, and community efforts to build relationships that facilitate successful reintegration of our Soldiers, Veterans, and their Families in order to keep them Army Strong and instill their values, ethos, and leadership within communities.
- Hear about the values, skills and attributes a transitioning service member can bring to your business.
- Chambers of Commerce and Business Associations play a significant role in the nationwide movement to connect veterans, military spouses and transitioning service members with meaningful employment.
- As a key influencer in your community or business segment, local employers are critical to the economic empowerment of veterans, transitioning service members and military spouses.
- Approximately 1.5 million service members will transition from the military in the next 3-5 years, learn about resources available to recruit and empower this population.
