Diversity Workshop at Saratoga Independent School
Description: Have you ever wondered how to engage kids in age-appropriate discussions about race and identity? Or, have you grappled with how to answer their questions about skin color, stereotypes, and the experiences of different races in the U.S.? If so, please join us for a workshop being offered at Saratoga Independent School on October 2, 2018 at 6:00pm. The workshop will be led by Dr. Kristie A. Ford, professor of sociology and founder of the Intergroup Relations Program at Skidmore College. If you plan to attend, please RSVP here by visiting https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/October22018 or call 518-583-0841.
Background: The Saratoga Independent School Parent Association, together with Lisa Brown, Head of School, formed a committee to focus intentionally on issues of race, diversity, children, and education.
