The opening of the “Discovering Lake Desolation” exhibit by local artist Nancy McGrath will be held on Friday, May 4, 2012.

The opening of the “Discovering Lake Desolation” exhibit by local artist Nancy McGrath will be held on Friday, May 4, 2012. Nancy McGrath moved to Rock City Falls four years ago. Being a plein aire artist, she was immediately attracted to the natural beauty of the area. As she started painting Nancy also began to see the strong industrial history the community is based on. Her newest exhibit will concentrate on the history of Lake Desolation and Kayderosseras Mountain. The opening of “Discovering Lake Desolation” on Friday, May 4 from 5 – 8 PM is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be available. The exhibition will remain on display during normal open hours through Friday, July 27.
