Creating a Climate of Change - 04/20/2012
Exploring Climate Change in the Northeast
Climate change is not new...as long as there has been an Earth for it to change on it has been happening. But what concerns scientists today is that human activity appears to be pushing Earth’s climate system into an era of instability and rapid shifts not seen for at least 10 millennia. Hear about other episodes of climate change (like the "Little Ice Age” and the “Year without a Summer), explore the ways people have become the primary driver in changing the Earth’s climate, and find out about how National Park Service scientists study and follow how these climatic changes and the ways they are effecting ecosystems at Saratoga and other parks in Northeast America.
