City of Saratoga Springs Workshop by the Ad Hoc Downtown Advisory Committee
The City of Saratoga Springs Ad Hoc Downtown Advisory Committee invites the owners of all Chapter 136 establishments in the City to attend a special workshop, on Wednesday, May 17, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., at the Saratoga Springs City Center.
At this workshop, leaders from the City’s police and fire departments will talk about their commitment to enhance communications with local establishments to improve security; plans for inspections and best practices to prepare for them; best practices should your establishment adopt enhanced security and screening protocols; how you can use a Trespass Letter to preclude unauthorized people from re-entering your property; and any other tips, suggestions, or recommendations either department has to keep our city and your establishments safe.
Local leaders will also share information about a new app now being tested to allow for real-time sharing of information and to showcase identification scanning equipment which may be of benefit to everyone. There will be a facilitated dialogue to allow for questions and to discuss opportunities to improve collaboration and communication between city and public safety officials and your establishments. We want to encourage you to bring your managers and key employees with security responsibilities so they can meet the key police and fire personnel who they will be working with this summer.
