Call-To-Post Kickoff: Third Thursday Horse Racing Breakfast
Thoroughbred horse racing fans and local Saratogians are looking forward to the opening of the 2018 Race Meeting at the Historic Saratoga Race Course, on Friday, July 20th. One day before the start of 40 days of the best Thoroughbred horse racing in the world, at Saratoga, the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce and West Point Thoroughbreds, of Saratoga Springs, have teamed up to host a special preview of this Summer at Saratoga. Chamber members and the general public are invited to attend this breakfast presentation at the National Museum of Racing to hear from a panel of experts including horse owner, Tom Bellhouse, trainer, Tom Morley, and jockey, Angel Cordero, who will talk about the current state of horse racing and what to expect this summer. The panel will also include Brian Straughter, President of Turf Hotels, and Marianne Barker, owner of Impressions and The Dark Horse, who will talk about the outlook for this race meeting from a hotel and local business perspective. This event is part of the Chamber’s new Call to Post Celebration that will feature a series of fan-friendly events one day before the Race Meeting begins.
