Call For Artists with Chronic Illnesses, Disabilities, and Caretakers

If you are someone living with a chronic illness, rare disease, disability, or are the caretaker of someone with one of the above, this is a great opportunity to express yourself and share your artwork! Saratoga Springs-based nonprofit, Beyond My Battle, is holding an art show this May showcasing the ways art can help manage the many stressors of living with, or caring for someone living with, any kind of medical condition.
The deadline to submit artwork is March 30th, 2019. All art must be able to be hung on a wall and artists must be ages 14 and older. Please send a photo of your artwork, along with your name, the dimensions and medium of the piece, as well as a description (approximately 100 words) of how you use art to move beyond your battle to info@beyondmybattle.org.
About the Show: “Beyond My Battle: Art with Heart & Hope” is an art show celebrating the healing power of art for those living with chronic illnesses, disabilities, and caretakers. The exhibition will run from May 9 – 12, 2019 at Spring Street Gallery, located at 110 Spring Street in Saratoga Springs, New York.
On Thursday, May 9, 2019 from 6:00PM – 9:00PM, many will come together at Spring Street Gallery for an opening-night party featuring much more than artwork. The gathering is a great opportunity to support Beyond My Battle’s cause, enjoy catered food and drink, live music, and good company. Tickets for the opening-night party on May 9th will be available starting March 1st at www.beyondmybattle.org. To become a sponsor of the event, please email info@beyondmybattle.org.
