Caffe Lena Poetry Open Mic At Northshire Bookstore

This monthly event, hosted by Carol Graser, takes place on the first Wednesday of every month and includes an open mic reading as well as featured poets. Sign up for the open mic starts at 6:30 and readings start at 7:00. August featured poet: Ken Hada Ken Hada is a poet and professor at East Central University where he directs the annual Scissortail Creative Writing Festival. Raised in the rural Ozarks, with close ties to his Hungarian ancestors in the gypsum hills of northwest Oklahoma, he finds the natural order a powerful presence for writing. His six published books include Persimmon Sunday, Spare Parts, Margaritas & Redfish, The Way of the Wind and The River White: A Confluence of Brush & Quill. A popular reader of his work at venues around the country, Ken also helps to edit the journals Cybersoleiljournal.com and All Roads Will Lead You Home.
