Bee Keeping and Honey Extraction

The rewards of beekeeping are sweet — golden honey that tastes like drops of pure sunlight. But to get to this point, you have to know a few things about bees. Join DZ Farm Apiarist, Marquis Snyder, on August 28th for a Bee Keeping and Honey Extraction Class. Marquis typically begins his extraction process in August and finishes in September. Though not complicated, there are many tips that he employs to maximize the honey output while minimizing waste and possible damage to the hives. Enjoy lunch during the tutorial portion before moving on to the extraction process. Guests will leave with a better understanding of the entire process, as well as a jar of DZ Farm Honey, which they’ll have a hand in extracting.
