In this class, you will be introduced to the basic timber framing methods and the tools that are used for building with timber frame construction. You probably already have the tools you need in your garage at home. There will be demonstrations of the different methods of cutting the basic mortise and tenon joints, as well as putting together knee braces and the different ways of using hand tools in framing and their relative efficiency. Create your own woodshed which you will build and take home. You will be encouraged to put your own design elements into your individual frames, so come with your own vision. Once at home, you'll just need to add the siding and roof and then start stacking.
