Meet & Greet with Judith Jamison
Former principal dancer and Artistic Director of the Alvin Ailey Dance Company, Jamison’s career has been truly innovative and expansive. Her commanding physical presence, strong African identity, and extraordinary technique have made her a historic innovator and beacon of inspiration to people all over the world.
Highlights of her career include collaboration with Mikhail Baryshnikov, the most prestigious male dancer of all time, inspirational muse of choreographer Agnes de Mille, and soloing in the famous performance “Cry”.
Sunday’s event will include an introduction of her life, as well as the opportunity for those in the audience to ask questions. Photos to be autographed by Jamison will also be given away to the first 100 people.
