Free screenings and health information at the Saratoga Lions Health Fair
The Saratoga Springs Lions Club will be sponsoring their 5th Annual Alfred Z. Solomon Health Fair on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the Maple Avenue Middle School on Maple Avenue in Saratoga Springs. The event is free to the public and will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will feature free vision screenings by the Lions Eye Institute, hearing screenings by Saratoga Hearing Center, flu shot clinic by Saratoga Urgent Care – sponsored by Saratoga National Bank, blood glucose and cholesterol screenings, blood pressure screenings and an American Red Cross blood drive on-site. All of these screenings and tests are free to attendees. In addition to the many screenings being offered, attendees will be able to gather health-related information from many exhibitors on topics such as Alzheimer’s disease, VA health benefits, assistive technology, elderly services, low-cost health insurance, massages, healthy living and more. Children who attend will see Stuffee from the Children’s Museum at Saratoga and puppies from the Guiding Eyes for the Blind.
