Michele Riggi pairs trick-or-treating with pet adoption
Michele Riggi is set to host a Halloween party Thursday that will include information on pet adoption at Palazzo Riggi on North Broadway in Saratoga Springs
Riggi, who will dress as Cinderella for Halloween, has partnered with Homes for Orphaned Pets Exist (H.O.P.E.), Saratoga County Animal Shelter and Saratoga Regional YMCA to drop information about pet adoption into the kids’ bags along with the candy.
Halloween candy at Palazzo Riggi consists of Willy Wonka chocolate bars, 10 of which hold lucky golden tickets worth $100 each. After ripping open the wrappers to see if they’ve won, trick-or-treaters can pet the spokesdogs for H.O.P.E. and the shelter that have come to celebrate the evening.
Not adoptable but perhaps petable are the live ponies that will be harnessed to Cinderella’s pumpkin coach on the Riggis’ lawn for Halloween. Costumed footmen will attend the equipage. Visiting children are invited to guess the weight of this year’s huge pumpkin; the Riggis annually display a monster one. The winner will receive a one-year family membership to the YMCA.
Michele is having her usual Halloween extravaganza. She’s doing everything she’s always done, but she’s added H.O.P.E. and the shelter to the bill.
