Paula Deen will be interviewed by Dr. Gail Saltz on 92nd St. Y broadcast
Congregation Shaara Tfille and The Jewish Community Center of Saratoga Springs, located at 84 Weibel Avenue, announces their second fall satellite broadcast ‘Live from NY’s 92nd Street Y’. Partially sponsored by a generous grant from The United Jewish Federation of Northeastern New York, this program brings lectures and interviews from internationally recognized political figures, entertainers, newsmakers and authors to community organizations and provides an opportunity to take part in discussions with some of the world’s most fascinating people. On Tuesday, October 11 at 8pm, they will host the satellite broadcast of Paula Deen with Dr. Gail Saltz. Dr. Saltz will interview Paula as part of her series “Strength of Mind,” which explores how people find success, real happiness and the ability to deal with life’s problems. The Emmy Award winning Food Network television star and author talks about her Georgia upbringing, family traditions and the evolution of her business empire, which began as a small catering company in Savannah. Deen is the author of many best-selling cookbooks and a new volume, Paula Deen’s Southern Cooking Bible. Psychiatrist, columnist, author and tv commentator Dr. Gail Saltz is a health, sex, and relationship contributor to the Today show and A&E’s Biography programs. She writes for NBC.com, O magazine and ivillage.com, and interviews celebrities and extraordinary individuals at the 92nd Street Y. She has appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Dateline, CBS News and the Early Show, Fox News, CNN, Larry King Live and Anderson Cooper 36. Dr. Saltz is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at The NY Presbyterian Hospital Weill-Cornell School of Medicine, a psychoanalyst with The NY Psychoanalytic Institute and has a private practice. Open to the public, tickets are $10. Doors open 45 minutes prior to each broadcast. Refreshments will be available and no outside food items are permitted in the building.
