ABOUT THIS POSITION:
The Small Business Closing Senior Specialist is responsible for facilitating small business loan closings and renewals. Ensures efficient and accurate processing and servicing of small business loans while providing high quality customer service. Works collaboratively with Credit and Commercial teams to meet department and Company goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
> Create, assemble, and generate all legal documentation related to small business loans; manage loan closings following approval process; complete documentation files in accordance with approval document, Loan Policy, and Company procedures.
> Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, to include all Company, Government, compliance and regulatory issues, policies and procedures. Specialize in Small Business Administration (SBA) financing requirements and procedures based on current SBA Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
> Work with branches, Business Development, customers, and other third parties to secure data, complete documentation, and maintain updated files.
> Ensure lien perfection on collateral; coordinate collection of required documents to complete file; verify documents for proper signatures, dates, and other relevant data.
> Process General Ledger and correspondence in timely and accurate manner according to established procedures.
> Work collaboratively with third parties such as attorneys, environmental engineers and other professionals for assessments, recommendations, and problem resolutions. Monitor construction lending and advances as well as title rundowns.
> Provide back up to Retail Lending team with closings as needed.

Education/Certifications/Experience:
> Associates degree or equivalent experience required
> 3 years of experience required; specific lending documentation or paralegal experience preferred
> Paralegal Certification a plus
Skills/Knowledge:
> Solid communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, management, and other third-party professionals
> Cino or Sales Force experience a plus
> Thorough understanding of loan documentation criteria and Small Business Administration financing
> Good attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
> Proficient computer skills including Microsoft suites
Physical Demands:
> Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and some brief periods of walking/standing
> Repetitive use of telephone, computer, computer mouse, and keyboard
> Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. at times

The pay range for this position is $21.63-$26.44 an hour commensurate with experience and education.
Additional compensation may be earned through the Company’s annual bonus and incentive programs, subject to individual and company performance.
