Caffe Lena Poetry Open Mic Featuring Carol Jewell & Allison Paster-Torres

This monthly event, hosted by Carol Graser, takes place on the first Wednesday of every month and includes an open mic reading as well as featured poets. Sign up for the open mic starts at 7:00 and readings start at 7:30. February’s features are Allison Paster-Torres and Carol H Jewell. Carol Jewell is a poet, teacher, musician, librarian, wife, mother, and grandmother. She has an AB in Russian Language and Literature and has three Masters degrees, in English, Library Science, and she just finished her MFS in Creative Writing from the College of Saint Rose. Allison Paster-Torres was raised by a pack of wild libraries. She knows how to spell at least ten words in the English language, and can easily be talked into doing almost anything if you tell her it will be an adventure, even if this is obviously a lie. She holds an MFA in creative writing and has appeared recently in Memoryhouse Magazine, Rat’s Ass Review, and Glass Journal.
