Commercial Insurance Sales Representative

Job Summary:

The Commercial Insurance Sales Representative is responsible for providing meaningful coverage and risk management guidance to our clients.

Job Description:

Some of the core responsibilities of the Commercial Insurance Sales Representative are:

  • To learn about our company’s product offering and sales strategies

  • To seek out new commercial insurance clients

  • To provide quality service, including periodic client portfolio reviews

  • To attend training and networking events

  • To prepare initial applications for client meetings and enter completed information into our database for marketing

  • To communicate with our internal marketing representative and insurance carrier representatives regarding underwriting, binding and retention

  • To perform other responsibilities and duties as needed

Qualifications:

At least three years’ sales experience. Exceptional sales professionals from outside the insurance industry will be considered.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently and pay attention to detail are an asset.

Other suggested qualifications/skills:

NYS P&C Brokers License. The ability to develop, foster and manage relationships, including working with a team.
