Construction Laborer / Carpenters Assistant
Job description
Phinney Design Group (PDG) / Phinney Construction Services (PCS) is a Saratoga Springs based construction management company currently seeking to fill a Construction Laborer / Carpenters Assistant position to assist our Site Supervisors and Lead Carpenters on various residential and commercial construction projects in the Lake George and Saratoga Springs area. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- General Construction labor duties for residential and light-commercial construction sites;
- Periodic cleanup (daily/weekly) of active construction sites; sweep out houses; dispose of construction waste in garbage cans/dumpsters;
- Maintain job sites to ensure a clean, organized and safe work environment;
- Assist with unloading and organizing construction material deliveries;
- Assist carpenters with various carpentry duties as needed;
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a Drivers License
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools as needed
- Basic carpentry skills, ability to paint and possession of own tools is a plus but not required
- Job Type: Full-time (40 hrs/wk):
- Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm (Flexible Hours possible)
- Potential for promotion to Lead Carpenter or Site Supervisor
- Pay: $20 - $22 / HR (Based on Skills / Experience)
