Wind Beneath My Wings, Mother's Day Benefit

Are you looking for something different, and GOOD, to do this Mother's Day? Make Mother’s Day 2012 extra special by attending a benefit brunch at Lillian’s Restaurant in Saratoga Springs on Sunday May 13th at 11am. This brunch will help our local organization floydwarriors.com “Helping Families Cope With Cancer, One Household at a Time”. Moms across the Capital Region going through treatment are especially helped by floydwarriors.com and this benefit will be a time to celebrate all Moms, passed and present. Founded by Lisa I. Morahan while undergoing treatment for Stage 3 breast cancer, floydwarriors.com was very much inspired by her own Mom, Irene Potiker, who lost her cancer battle a short eight weeks prior to Ms. Morahan’s diagnosis. With its guiding mission of “Dinner is Done, Dishes are Clean and The Kids are OK!” floydwarriors.com helps families cope with life during a cancer diagnosis and treatment. Aside from hands on help, floydwarriors.com coordinates Project Easter Bunny, delivering Easter Baskets to several of the Capital Region’s cancer organizations. In 2012, 190 baskets were assembled and delivered. The brunch will be a very special time to reflect and share a bit about your Moms. Enjoy an all-you-can eat brunch buffet with champagne station. A tribute video will be created for the brunch and played, so please take part if you would like and include your own loved one’s photo. Please submit it directly to info@floydwarriors.com tagged with your loved one’s name. The event will take place in Diamond Jim’s upstairs banquet room (I’m sorry, no elevator access).
