Steam boats and launches recapture past days on the Waterford waterfront
With bells and steam whistles, wood smoke from the stacks and plumes of steam from one cylinder engines, launches and boats converge on Waterford in early July. Reminiscent of days past when steam launches were the vehicle of a Sunday outing on the canals and rivers, this a great way to see steamboats up close and working. Arts and craft exhibitors, food and music make the day complete, just below lock 2 along the canal in Waterford.Saturday Jul 1, 2017
