In a gentler time, before steroids and $10 beers, life was simpler and baseball was a source for wholesome family outings and civic pride. The Mighty Casey brings this nostalgic era to life through a musical and dramatic setting of the quintessential American poem “Casey at the Bat.” This summer, forget Fenway and the Bronx: join Opera Saratoga to revisit the era when baseball was our true national pastime. Sung in English with English translations projected above the stage. Free pre-opera talk in the theater one hour before each performance.
