Spring Festival

We have a market all about Spring! The day will include FREE activities for families and children, FREE 1-hour demos throughout the market, and guests that will offer information on gardening, composting, soil testing, and more! Here is our schedule: 9 - 10 A.M. - Bee Keeping with Rick Green of Ballston Lake Apiaries (all attendees will receive a FREE coffee, hot chocolate, or tea from Something's Brewing) 10 - 11 A.M. - Log Inoculation with Bobby of the Mariaville Mushroom Men (FREE market logo apron for all attendees) 11 A.M. - 12 P.M. - Fermentation with Diane Whitten of Cornell Cooperative Extension (FREE cider donut and apple cider from Malta Ridge Orchard & Gardens for all attendees) 12 - 1 P.M. - Cultivating Garden Greens with Sadie Ross, Horticulturalist, and presented by the Friends of the Market (all attendees will receive FREE pair of market logo hot pads) 9 A.M. - 1 P.M. - Children may stop by the activity area in the front entrance of the building to make their own eggshell seed starter. Plant, water, and watch it grow! PLUS, Serendipity Arts Studio will also offer an all-ages activity that will be super fun and educational. 9 A.M. - 1 P.M. - Skidmore's Sustainability Program will offer demonstrations and information on composting. They know all about composting and will help you to understand the process as well as the benefits. 9 A.M. - 1 P.M. - Cornell Cooperative Extension's Master Gardener will join us to offer information on gardening, preparing soil, soil testing (for $1), and more. The Master Gardener offers a wealth of knowledge and is a great resource to answer all of your gardening questions.
