Saratoga Farmers Market Association will celebrate the opening of their winter market at the Lincoln Baths in the Saratoga Spa State Park. Festivities will begin with a ribbon cutting just prior to 9 a.m. led by special guests including Mayor Joanne Yepsen and other community officials, as well as vendors and customers, invited to gather on the front steps of the Lincoln Baths. Celebrations will include live music, a free activity for children of all ages offered by the Globe School, as well as give-a-ways and discounts on market logo merchandise from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Saratoga Farmers Market is a year-round market, and has been in operation since 1978. Every year on Saturdays from November through April, the market hosts approximately 40 vendors on two floors of the building selling vegetables, fruit, mushrooms, meat, poultry, fish, eggs, cheese, yogurt, milk, baked goods, jams, spirits, soap, wool, flowers, holiday greens, and freshly prepared and ready-to-eat foods. The market is proud to provide customers with local products from four counties: Saratoga, Schenectady, Rensselaer and Washington.
