Saratoga Springs Public Library's Family Concerts in Congress Park
Families are invited to learn traditional folk dances and singing games from around the world with Peter Davis, Paul Rosenberg, and George Wilson as they play traditional folk instruments, including fiddle, banjo, mandolin, guitar, clarinet, pennywhistle, and recorder. This program helps children to develop an awareness of what life was like before electricity, especially during the 18th and 19th centuries, when families and communities made their own entertainment with homemade music and dance. Registration is not necessary and everyone is welcome! Parents, please accompany pre-schoolers. Programs are about 45 minutes long and will take place in Congress Park near The Arts Center. In case of rain, all programs will be held in the Library’s H. Dutcher Community Room (First Floor).
