North Country Wild Care’s annual Spring Fundraising Dinner and silent auction will take place on Sunday, April 29th from 4-8 pm at the Gideon Putnam Resort in Saratoga Springs.
In addition to music by Mike LaPoint, there will be a silent auction, a dinner with a choice of three entrees, and a chance to hear our wildlife rehabilitators discuss their rehabilitation success stories. To reserve a space, contact Julie Lafountain, 15 Sonja Lane, Ballston Spa, NY 12020 (518) 885-8969. The cost to attend this fundraiser is $40.00 per person before April 15th, and $45.00 per person thereafter. The dinner choices include roast cab sirloin, pan seared chicken breast and garden vegetable risotto (vegan and gluten-free). For more information about North Country Wild Care visit our website at www.northcountrywildcare.org. For wildlife emergencies, call our hotline at 518-964-6740. North Country Wild Care is a non-profit organization that supports home based licensed wildlife rehabilitators. Working out of their homes within nine local counties, members are volunteers dedicated to rehabilitating and returning wildlife to the wild. In an effort to better respond to calls for wildlife in need, the members developed an Emergency Wildlife Hotline, which is manned 24/7, including holidays. Winter training sessions and educational programs to schools, civic groups and community organizations are also provided at no charge.
