The award-winning film Friendly Persuasion stars Gary Cooper and illustrates the dilemmas and divisions within a Quaker community about to be invaded by marauders during the Civil War. A panel before the movie will explore the multi-faceted nature of peace and conflict. This is one of several events celebrating Peace Week in Saratoga Springs September 19th through 25th, that culminates with the Peace Fair on Sunday, September 25th from 12-4 PM on the grounds of the Presbyterian-New England Congregational Church on Circular Street.
