Ribbon cutting ceremony, prizes available
The McDonald’s located at 42 Saratoga Ave. in Waterford invites the community to celebrate the grand re-opening of the restaurant on Wednesday, August 6. As part of the celebration, McDonald’s Owner/Operator Roger Grout will conduct a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. and official flag raising with the help of local Boy Scouts Troop 632. The National Anthem will be sung by members of the Dorothy Welch Choir. To commemorate the day, donations will be made to local non-profit organizations including the Northside Fire Company, the Waterford Youth Council, Cohoes Community Center, and the Ronald McDonald House of Albany.
Additionally, attendees will include Senator Kathy Marchione, Assemblyman John T. McDonald III, the Mayor of Waterford J. Bert Mahoney, the Mayor of Cohoes George Primeau and Town Supervisor Laurie Marble. The restaurant will also have entries available for prize drawings, giving customers the chance to win a 50” flat screen TV, boys and girls mountain bikes (1 each), a tablet computer, or two domestic airline tickets to U.S. destinations. Winners will be announced on Saturday August 16 at 3 p.m. when Ronald McDonald will be on hand for family fun activities.
