Holiday Headquarters

The Adirondack Museum Visitor Center is open daily, Wednesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., from November 27 through December 20, with a wide variety of activities for Adirondack Park visitors and year-round residents that make the museum a "Holiday Headquarters" in the heart of the Park. Inside the rustic, festively decorated Visitor Center, guests can stroll through the free "Celebration of Community History" exhibition of objects from around the Park, explore the "Water Witch" Adirondack mountain sailboat, enjoy a hot cup of coffee, start (or finish) holiday shopping in the Museum Store, and tie it all up with a bow at a gift-wrapping station. HOLIDAY HEADQUARTERS SPECIAL EVENTS: Friday, November 27 - Black Friday Sale 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Start (or finish) your holiday shopping at the Museum Store's Black Friday Sale! This shopping extravaganza will kick-off the store's holiday hours. Saturday, November 28 - Small Business Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Get a taste of the North Country on Small Business Saturday, featuring great small businesses from around the Adirondack Park! American Express cardholders can receive a $10 credit on their card with a purchase of $10 or more! Friday, November 27 - Saturday, November 28 - Indian Lake Country Christmas Tour 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The museum is a stop on this annual tour of hometown holiday fun! Saturday, December 5 - Members Only 30% Off Holiday Sale 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The Museum Store will host a members-only, 30%-off sale on Saturday, December 5, featuring refreshments, a performance of It's A Wonderful Life by a community theater group at 2 p.m. in the museum auditorium, and locally hand-made knits and crafts for sale.
