Local band, SIDETRACKED, will perform at the museum at 8pm on Friday, June 1.
For the past 18 years, Brookside Museum has hosted a benefit concert to raise money for education programs that serve about 4,000 children each year. On June 1, 2012 popular local musicians in their band SIDETRACKED will be performing at the museum to support programs such as Sheep to Shawl and Native New York. SIDETRACKED is a diverse musical collaboration of young and old. The group is comprised of five members, ranging in age from thirty something to closing in on sixty. All members contribute equally to an energy and a sound that most listeners just can’t seem to get enough of. They all truly believe that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Their unique blend of voices and instruments majestically recreates the sound of all of your favorite rock and roll tunes from the 70s and 80s. Don’t miss the opportunity to get out of that dull and boring routine, come on out and get “Sidetracked”! The SIDETRACKED benefit concert supports education programs serving thousands of local children. Doors open at 7pm, concert begins at 8pm. Refreshments and a cash bar will be available. The concert is outside; so don't forget to bring chairs or blankets. Tickets are $15 in advance and can be purchased by contacting Brookside at 885.4000 or by visiting brooksidemuseum.org.
