The Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation will host an exclusive, Member’s Only Tour of the Saratoga Race Course on Saturday, July 9th at 9:30 AM. SSPF members can get a behind-the-scenes tour of the historic Saratoga Race Course with the Foundation’s Executive Director, Samantha Bosshart, and Matt Hurff, of Frost Hurff Architects, local architect who is currently overseeing several preservation projects at the track. Not only will people will be able to see the public sides of the track – the Grandstand, the Clubhouse and the Oklahoma Training Track – but they will also have the rare opportunity to see the original 1847 Race Course, Horse Haven, and Clare Court, the former August Belmont Jr.’s private stabling complex. The tour meets at the Whitney Viewing Stand of the Oklahoma Training Track. The cost per tour is $25. Reservations are required; space is limited to 14.
