Join us as we explore what types of air pollution we experience in our own backyards!
Open to girls in grades 6-8. When I think of air pollution, I often think of the pictures you see on TV of Los Angeles buried in smog or the fictional world of Dr. Suess' The Lorax, where the poor "swammy swans, why they can't sing a note! No one can sing with smog in their throats!" But whether we see it or not, air pollution is a reality in urban, suburban, and rural areas- right here in upstate NY. You can make a difference! Join us as we explore what types of air pollution we experience in our own backyards and identify methods for improving local air quality for those you care about, including your friends, your family, your community, wildlife, and even the trees!
