American Artists in Europe: Selections from the Permanent Collection
American artists have eagerly traveled to Europe since Colonial times. This exhibition illustrates the lure and influence of European travel on nineteenth- and twentieth-century artists in The Hyde's permanent collection. Featured artists include Childe Hassam, Winslow Homer, Elihu Vedder, James McNeill Whistler, and more.
