"All Are Welcome Here" Walk & Vigil, Tue., Aug. 28th from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. is a time the community can come together regardless of race, religion or political leanings to show gratitude, support and acceptance as we welcome all to our community. The walk is peaceful and silent, starting from 3 locations in Saratoga Springs: City Center and Temple Sinai on North Broadway; Beekman St. & Oak; Union Ave. and East at the race track entrance. All walking sights were chosen for historical and current immigrant significance. One can join the walk anywhere along the route. Walkers will gather at the Spirit of LIfe Monument in Congress Park at 6:40 for a short program to join in peaceful acknowledgement of the contributions immigrants make in our daily lives. Local artists, immigrants, clergy and citizens will contribute to the program of spoken word and song. This is a family friendly event. Please bring your own electric light/candle if possible. Signs should be positive, non-political, focusing on support and gratitude to immigrants. Please see July press release for further description. Information can be found on Saratoga Immigration Coalition Facebook page and SignUpGenius for this event or call 518-951-0702. Hosted by Saratoga Immigration Coalition - a network of faith communities, civic groups and caring individuals - serving Warren , Washington, and Saratoga Counties and the Capital District..
