7th Annual Birthday Party for horses at Old Friends at Cabin Creek

7th Annual Birthday Bash for Retired Horses at Old Friends at Cabin Creek Greenfield Center/Saratoga Springs, NY-- Old Friends at Cabin Creek will hold its 7th Annual Birthday Party for the horses from 12-3PM on Saturday, Jan. 2nd at the farm, located at 483 Sand Hill Rd. in Greenfield Center, just outside downtown Saratoga Springs, NY off RT 29W. The annual fundraiser?s proceeds all go to the retired thoroughbred racehorses who call Old Friends at Cabin Creek home. Suggested donation is $10. The event includes hot soups donated by area restaurants including The Olde Bryan Inn, Longfellows, The Wishing Well and The Village Pizzeria. Birthday cake will be served with coffee, tea, and cocoa. This year there will be a halter auction and a silent auction, and visitors are welcome to tour the farm and horses during the fundraiser. There is a new Welcome Center in the barn which will be open for browsing. The event is open to the public and children are welcome. Old Friends at Cabin Creek, a 501©3 non-profit farm and the Bobby Frankel Division, is a satellite farm of Old Friends, Inc. in Georgetown, KY and is dedicated to dignified retirement for retired racehorses. The farm has been in operation since the fall of 2009, is owned by Mark and JoAnn Pepper and is currently the forever home to 15 retired race horses. Will's Way, the 1996 Travers winner, NY bred Be Bullish, Mr Cowboy and the lovable Zippy Chippy, a winner in the hearts of everyone in spite of his race record, are among the winners who reside at the farm.
