Antique Bottle Show and Sale to benefit the National Bottle Museum, 76 Milton Ave Ballston Spa. Serving as the Museums chief fundraiser, the show attracts collectors and dealers from across the United States. All types of bottles and related items will be available, including early New England glass,flasks, bitters, all types of medicine bottles, canning jars, milk bottles, Nailsea bottles and stoneware. A well known Maine artisan will feature bottle and artifact art. Also to be found are the bottles made to hold the mineral waters of Saratoga and surrounding spring. There will be educational displays and attendees are encouraged to bring in there empty bottles for identification. Live flameworking demonstrations will be provided by the Glassworks Studio with items for sale. A free bottle grab bag will be offered to all students (12 and under accompanied by an adult) with research materials available for the students to learn about the bottle they have chosen. Food and refreshments will be available on site by the Brickyard Tavern. The Bottle Museum and the 2nd floor JRM Artists space will be open during the show for everyone's enjoyment. The National Bottle Museum is a not for profit 501 9c) (3) educational institution dedicated to the preservation and history of bottles and the glassblowing industry.
